All multi table tournaments will have their break at 55 minutes after the hour, regardless of what level tournament is on or when it started. This is just one of the major software improvements being developed by the Winning Poker Network. A major overhaul of the software is in the works.

This comes just in time for the Online Super Series II. The Online Super Series II is offering $1 million in guaranteed prize pools. The tournament series starts on January 13th and runs through January 27th. No Limit Texas Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha are the games offered for the series. Party Poker had its highest volume day in terms of cash game traffic today since the days following the closure of Full Tilt Poker in June 2011. Party Poker's traffic peaked at over 6500 players today. That was 10% higher than Full Tilt Poker and 30% higher than iPoker. Party Poker regained the number two spot in the online poker world for the first time since Full Tilt Poker reopened.

The spike of traffic occurred due to the move of bwin players to the Party Poker Network today. The traffic count spiked 1500 players due to this move. This move accounted for a 30% increase in cash game players.

Players on the Party Network now have an even wider game selection than they had before. This includes more cash games, more active sit and gos and higher player counts in multi table tournaments. Players that enjoy games besides No Limit Texas Hold'em should enjoy the added liquidity to the network as well.

Black Chip Poker moved to the Winning Poker Network last week from their former home, the Merge Gaming Network. This caused a traffic shift between the two networks. The Winning Poker Network enjoyed a traffic boost of about 35%, or about 250 players. Merge Gaming’s player counts have fallen by about 20%, or about 200 players.

It is possible that the player loss to Merge Gaming is smaller due to Carbon Poker, its biggest skin, moving to a new cashier that accepts credit cards. The old Merge Gaming cashier did not accept credit cards so this cashier moved helped Carbon Poker, and their new brand Carbon Sports, to convert players that may have otherwise been out of action. It being the football season probably helped the network’s traffic due to its sports book operators.

The Winning Poker Network traffic boost may have also been helped by new processing capabilities. The Winning Poker Network has the best payment processing in U.S. online poker. The new cashier options certainly helped convert players that were otherwise out of action and helped players that needed to reload more options to do so.

Black Chip Poker also improved their cashout abilities by moving to Winning Poker. Players now have two options that have a cashout time of no more than three days and often cashouts by debit card and Western Union are processed in just one day. Checks are also much faster that they were on Merge Gaming, just a week or two in most cases.

Existing Black Chip Poker players were able to move their 35% rakeback to the Winning Poker Network. New players can still receive 27% rakeback. The first deposit bonus is now bigger and better. The deposit bonus is now 100% up to $1000, a $250 increase from before. The bonus is deducted from MGR though, as are a few other promotional perks. Players can still earn 34% Black Chip Poker rakeback when combining bonus and rakeback.

One noticeable difference between Merge Gaming and Winning Poker for Black Chip Poker players is the lack of limit games. The Winning Poker Network even dropped fixed limit rake in anticipation of Black Chip Poker moving to the network. This has not helped Winning Poker generate more limit games.

Black Chip Poker’s move to the Winning Poker Network was just about seamless. There were minor issues that were resolved within two days but Black Chip players were back at the online poker tables in just a few hours after closing on Merge Gaming. Most players should be happy about the move, especially if they play No Limit Texas Hold’em.

The fourth largest U.S. facing poker network has announced that rake on all Fixed Limit Hold'em tables at Americas Cardroom and True Poker has been dramatically lowered effective November 27th. The largest drop in rake will be seen at the high stakes tables, with caps being lowered from 5% to 1%. Another highlight of the new rake schedule is that the cap on $0.02/$0.04 tables will decrease to just $0.01.

An Americas Cardroom spokesman stated, "Our goal isn’t to just be competitive, it’s to be the top destination in the US for online poker players. The realignment of our rake structure coupled with the fact that we’re the #1 site for reliable payment processing now makes us a clear favorite.”

The Merge Gaming Network will remove the player to player transfer feature from their software on November 1. All player to player transfer requests must be made by the end of business on October 31. This affects all Merge Gaming skins including Carbon Poker, Aced, PDC Poker, Black Chip Poker, Pokerview and RPM Poker.

This affects our ability to pay out refer a friend and other payments to Carbon Poker. Unfortunately, we must remove them as a withdrawal option. We still offer Moneybookers, Neteller, bank wire, Cake Poker and Juicy Stakes.

This news may have come as part of the announcement that the Carbon Poker family of sites are moving to a different banking system. This includes Carbon Poker, Aced and PDC Poker. These skins will move to the Jazette Enterprises cashier. 

Jazette is better know for their Sportsbook.ag and PlayersOnly brands, both of which are on Merge Gaming. Jazette is licensed in Antigua and Barbuda. That licensing jurisdiction forbids player to player transfers. The good news is that this cashier system will have more deposit options for U.S. players.

This move coincides with other U.S. facing brands altering their player to player transfer policies. Lock Poker lowered their transfer limits to as low as $250 a day. Americas Cardroom and True Poker had also announced that their limits would be lowered but changed their mind and limits will remain $1000 a day for transfers.

NoiQ Poker, an IGT Network room, will be undergoing changes over the next weeks. NoiQ Poker run will merge with 24h Poker and move to the Microgaming Network on November 7th. The poker room has previously announced that they would be moving due to the closing of the IGT Network in early December.

Microgaming is a top ten poker room with upwards of 3,000 real money cash game players at the tables at peak times. This is approximately five times larger than the current game counts yielded from the IGT network.

At this time, we have no information to provide regarding what will become of rakeback once the merge and migration take, but we will inform players as soon as we become aware.
