The Party Poker Network and Revolution Gaming Network both revealed new player pool policies this week. These policies were unrelated, but both serve the same purpose. They are set up to remove access that some winning players will have to tables with losing players seated at them.

The Party Poker Network rolled out a test where some winning players were no longer able to see tables with players known to be overall losers at their online poker tables. This test was not announced. Instead, it was discovered by observant players. Party Poker and their skins have not been clear about what criteria is used to determine which players will not have access to these table. The only game affected at this time is No Limit Texas Hold'em. Only cash games are being used in this test. Tournament tables are still available to all players.

The Revolution Gaming Network publicly announced a similar change in policy called Fair Play Technology. Players on that network that are substantial winners will have their access to tables with substantial losers restricted. This is expected to go into effect in the next few weeks.

There is a different player segregation being used by Revolution Gaming at this time. Players at all fixed limit games and no limit and pot limit games with a big blind higher of $2 or more are now separated on the network between Lock Poker and all of the other skins. The new Fair Play system will replace this system.
