bwin.party announced today that they would stop accepting new players from 18 countries after April 30, 2013 today. The countries are located in newly regulated European markets, unregulated European markets and some South American countries that do not send many high volume players to the network.

The good news is that players that already have an account at bwin, Party Poker or another Party skin will be able to continue to play on the network. Players in these countries that do not yet have an account have until April 30th to create one.

The soon to be restricted countries are Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and the Ukraine.

There is also news that bwin has secured an online gambling license in Belgium. This means that there will be no interruption in service for players in that country. Belgian players are not ring fenced, they play on the international Party Network platform.
